Austin Siamese Rescue has a HUGE selection of Siamese, Oriental, Balinese, Himalayan, Ragdoll, Snowshoe, etc.--all the Oriental breeds, a few mixes-- right now, all needing good homes. Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, formerly the Austin Branch of Texas Siamese Rescue. We focus on the 14 breeds of the Royal Thai Family, including Siamese, Balinese, Javanese, Oriental Shorthairs and Longhairs, Birmans, Burmese, Himalayans, Ocicats, Ragdolls, Snowshoes, and Tonkinese. All of the cats fostered in Austin are cared for in private homes by individuals who dedicate their spare time to this effort.
Our cats come from a variety of backgrounds. Some faced death at the shelter, while others came from abusive and neglectful households. Still others were treasured companions of guardians who could no longer care for them. What they all have in common is a need for a forever home, where they can live their lives as the happy, pampered cats they all deserve to be. We're looking for the perfect inside home for them!
Adopting a friend
Adoption fees for Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. range from $100 to $175 and include vet work as listed below. We spay or neuter all of our cats prior to placement and most of our kittens, depending on their size and readiness.

Each cat will receive the following vet work prior to placement, health permitting. The costs are approximate:
* Blood tests for feline leukemia and feline aids - $20-$40
* Spaying or neutering - $40-$75
* Thorough vet exam - $30 - $55
* Vaccines (as required) - $25 - $60
* Treatment for fleas, earmites and worms - $25
* Presurgical blood work where necessary, and dentals for older cats $100-$300
As you can see, the adoption fee covers only a portion of the per cat cost. While we make a substantial effort to ensure the cats are healthy prior to placement, please understand that these are rescue cats from unknown backgrounds, and you need to be prepared for possible medical and/or behavioral issues that may arise after an adoption.
Interested adopters go through a careful screening process to include reference checks, telephone interviews, and where appropriate, home visits. No cat will be placed in a new home which allows cats to go outside. The adoptive owners agree to give Austin Siamese Rescue, Inc. the option of reclaiming the cat, should the adoption not work to the advantage of the new owner and the cat.
To begin the Adoption process, complete these simple steps:
* Review the Adoption Policies.
* Fill out the Adoption Application Emailable Form in Word, save it to your hard drive, and email it to loveasiamese@yahoo.com.
* Or, if it more convenient, complete the hard copy version of the Adoption Application Form completely and fax it to 512-261-6618, or mail it to:
