Louise is a very pretty orange Persian. She is about 3 years old, and like Thelma, has lived a hard life because she lived with a hoarder. Louise lived in a dark basement, confined to a small cage with no room to walk or to play, sharing the limited space with 3-4 other cats. When we took Louise to the vet for her initial examination and Rabies Vaccination, we were shocked to learn that Louise was too sick to be vaccinated that day.
It has taken Louise a little time to get healthy, as she was filthy, had severe diarrhea and her teeth needed to be cleaned. She also had gum disease that resulted in the loss of three teeth.
Fortunately, Louise had the will to live and gradually got healthy enough to be spayed, get her Rabies Vaccination and have her teeth cleaned. She's like a new girl now, and is much happier and more playful than before.
