My son is allergic to cats. I've been looking to rescue a hairless cat. There are so many homeless kittys I can't bring myself to pay for one when I can save one. Willing to travel of pay for shipping. Prefer a kitten since I have a young child and a dog. I would consider an older cat if they have lived in a similar environment.

Has your son handled a Sphynx cat? Some people are VERY allergic to Sphynx, while others are not - as with many allergans, the response varies from individual to individual. Allergies are based on the saliva of the cat, not the amount of fur.
Thank You Linda. We have 2 Sphynx and I helped rescue place over a dozen last year. And I can assure this lady that YES, people can be very allergic to them. My husband is and bless his heart he's getting shots because I love them so.
