This is Chester the Cheshire Cat. He doesn't have the broad, toothy grin as described by Lewis Carroll in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, but he's one special cat! He's a British Shorthair Silver Tabby and he's just as a cat book describes -- sweet-natured, calm, and gentle; an excellent cat and generally undemanding. He has such a good heart. What a teddy bear of a cat! Just as the Cheshire Cat was the only character in the book to truly listen to what Alice had to say, Chester will always be willing to listen to the events of your day, be fully supportive and in your corner while gazing at you with his LARGE eyes, as he's one special cat!

Updates: While in foster care, it was discovered Chester is allergic to certain foods. On the fourth try, Chester is eating dry food that agrees with him! It is called Taste of the Wild and is available at Western Ranch in Vacaville. During the food...

Chester has been brought current on his vaccinations, and he's ready for his new home. In addition, Chester has had a Total Health Plus blood panel completed and passed with flying colors. He's also had his teeth cleaned, so his "grin" is even more charming.

Update: Recently, February of '10, Chester had a tumor removed from his right shoulder. It was innocent, meaning benign, called a schwannoma. He was his usual good and affable self before, during and after. He's quite a cat!
